Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick and Green Our Planet invite the community to the nation’s largest student-run farmers market. More than 400 students representing 44 Clark County School District schools will sell garden-grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and handcrafted goods.
Proceeds from sales and donations will be reinvested in hydroponic and school garden programs. The market gives students an opportunity to apply classroom lessons involving science, technology, engineering and mathematics, conservation and entrepreneurship.
Attendees can also take photos with a Las Vegas Grand Prix car and meet Spruce, the Las Vegas Aviators’ mascot, and Stomper, the Las Vegas Athletics’ mascot.
