Clark County Family Services invites prospective foster parents to an open house designed to help families complete many foster care licensing requirements in one visit. Attendees can meet Family Services staff, experienced foster parents and CASA representatives while receiving help at each step of the licensing process.
Stations will help families:
- Complete an application, add references and upload required documents
- Receive a required physical and tuberculosis test at no cost
- Select a pre-service training date and set up online training
- Begin car seat safety training and schedule the hands-on portion
- Learn about safe sleep, home safety requirements and the home-inspection process
- Find information about child care, education and community resources
The first 50 families to complete the Roadmap will receive a voucher for free home-safety items. The voucher may be redeemed for a Home Safety Kit during the family’s home-inspection and licensing visit.
