Clark County Celebrates Women’s History Month 2026!
Women’s History Month recognizes the vital contributions, achievements, and leadership of women throughout history and in our community today. Clark County Commissioners highlighted residents from across Southern Nevada who are making a difference for everyone around us.

District A – Michael Naft
Honoring Kate McLaughlin
Kate McLaughlin is Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft's honoree for Women’s History Month 2026.
Kate is the Executive Director of Girls on the Run.
District B – Marilyn Kirkpatrick
Honoring Aiyana Castro & Trish Williamson
Aiyana Castro and Trish Williamson are Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick’s honorees for Women’s History Month 2026.
Aiyana is a junior at Arbor View High School and the founder of the non-profit Creating a Giving Culture.
Trish is the Editor and Publisher of Sun City Aliante’s The Breeze magazine.
District C – April Becker
Honoring Frances Lucero
Frances Lucero is Clark County Commissioner April Becker's honoree for Women’s History Month 2026.
Frances is the Principal of Doris Hancock Elementary School in Las Vegas.
District D – William McCurdy II
Honoring Ruby Collins & Pamela Goynes-Brown
Ruby Collins and Pamela Goynes-Brown are Clark County Commissioner William McCurdy II's honorees for Women’s History Month 2026.
Ruby is the Executive Director of Variety Early Learning Center in the Historic Westside.
Pamela is the Mayor of North Las Vegas and the first Black mayor in Nevada, as well as a retired career educator.
District E – Tick Segerblom
Honoring Bertha Gutierrez & Deborah Reardon
Bertha Gutierrez and Deborah Reardon are Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom's honorees for Women’s History Month 2026.
Bertha is the Program Director for Nevada at the Conservation Lands Foundation.
Deborah is the Regional Planning Manager for the Metropolitan Planning Organization at the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada.
District F – Justin Jones
Honoring Dr. Ali Caliendo & Amy Ayoub
Dr. Ali Caliendo & Amy Ayoub are Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones’ honorees for Women’s History Month 2026.
Dr. Caliendo is the Founder and Executive Director of Foster Kinship, Nevada’s kinship navigator program.
Amy is the Founder of The Zen Speaker, a coaching company that empowers people to shair their stories and movie audiences to action.
District G – Jim Gibson
Honoring Kathy Topp
Kathy Topp is Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson’s honoree for Women’s History Month 2026.
Kathy is an award-winning storyteller and small business owner who shapes messages that move people, spark results, and advance the causes she champions.
