Peer Reviews

The Audit Department procures an External Quality Control Review ("peer review") once every three years.  Peer reviews are conducted following standards and guidelines contained in the Peer Review Guide published by the Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA).  Not only are peer reviews required for compliance with Government Audit Standards, but an unqualified peer review opinion assures the public of high quality audits and transparency in government.  The Audit Department regularly achieves an unqualified opinion.
