Courtroom Standards
Courtroom Standards
To help ensure court proceedings are conducted safely and respectfully, all visitors must follow these standards:
- Children are not permitted in the courtroom.
- Arrive on time for all scheduled hearings.
- No weapons are permitted. This includes guns, knives, and any other illegal weapons.
- Proper courtroom attire is required. No shorts or tank tops are allowed and shoes are required. T-shirts which show offensive slogans or pictures are not permitted. Hats should be removed before entering.
- Eating, drinking or chewing gum in the courtroom is prohibited.
- No disruptive behavior. Remain quiet while court is in session. Court proceedings are being transcribed and noise can interfere with the preparation of this important record.
- All cellular telephones and electronic devices must be turned off before entering.
Court Security
Court Marshals are responsible for security and enforcement of courtroom standards.
