Permit Amendment

Advisory Committee

To support its policy development for an amendment to the Clark County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP), the Clark County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) established a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) in 2009. The CAC was comprised of representatives from a broad cross-section of community stakeholders and its purpose was to provide recommendations to the Clark County Board of Commissioners and other permittee governing bodies regarding the proposed amendment to the MSHCP. Topics discussed by the CAC included covered species, mitigation scenarios, funding recommendations, and implementation strategies. The CAC used a consensus approach with an ultimate goal to provide recommendations to the BCC and the Permittee governing boards.

The CAC was administered by Clark County, which coordinated technical and administrative support to the CAC with technical staff from the permittees. Final recommendations for the development of an amendment to the MSHCP were provided by the CAC in October 2010 and a link to this report is provided below. Having fulfilled its function, the CAC was dismantled in July of 2011.
