The DCP held the 2011 symposium on August 17 at the Desert Research Institute office, in the Atomic Test Museum Building in Las Vegas, Nevada, located at 755 East Flamingo Road in the Rogers’ Auditorium.  We would like to express our gratitude to Desert Research Institute for providing the facility at no cost to the DCP.  

We are also grateful to the US Geological Survey for coordinating three peer reviewers who provided the DCP with written comments on many of the presentations.  The peer reviewers in 2011 were Phil Medica, US Geological Survey; Jim Moore, The Nature Conservancy in Nevada; and Von Winkle, Southern Nevada Water Authority.  The Science Advisor to the MSHCP hosted the symposium and provided written comments on many of the presentations; they are Robert Sutter, Enduring Conservation Outcomes and Mary Peters, MBP Consulting. We also thank the peer reviewers and the symposium audience members for their thoughtful questions and helpful comments.

The DCP held the 2010 symposium on August 10 -12 at the Desert Research Institute office in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We would like to express our gratitude to Desert Research Institute for providing the facility at no cost to the DCP.   We would also like to express our thanks for US Geological Survey for coordinating five expert panelists who provided reviews of the presentations.  These experts were Dr. Dennis J. Hansen, National Security Technologies; Phil Medica, US Geological Survey; Dr. J. Michael Reed, Tufts University, Dr. Daniel K. Rosenberg, Oregon State University, and Dr. Eric T. Simandle, Paul Smith’s College.
