Asst. Chief Danny Horvat

Assistant Fire Chief Danny Horvat began his career in the fire service in 1997 while serving as a firefighter in the US Air Force. He served for four years followed by another four years as a firefighter with a Department of Defense contractor. Danny began his career with Clark County Fire Department in 2006 as a fire inspector. He promoted to the rank of fire plans checker, where he served as subject matter expert for the implementation of the County’s electronic plan review software implementation. He then was promoted to deputy fire marshal in 2018. He was promoted to assistant fire chief in 2019.

Danny has a degree in fire science management from the College of Southern Nevada. He is a graduate of the Clark County Management Academy Class of 2019. He is also an ICC Certified Fire Marshal. Danny has been married to Heather for more than 20 years and they have two children.
