Born and raised in Las Vegas, Assistant Chief Daylon Woolbright embodies the spirit of service that runs deep in his family. The son of a retired Clark County Fire Department Fire Captain, Chief Woolbright followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the department in 2012 as a Firefighter Paramedic.
Over the past 13 years, Chief Woolbright has built a career defined by commitment, grit, and leadership. During his tenure, Chief Woolbright advanced through the ranks while serving as Firefighter, Paramedic, Instructor, Engineer, and Technical Rescue Technician. He was deployed on three FEMA missions to support communities destroyed by Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton, and the Texas Hill Country Flood. His dedication and performance led to a pivotal new role when Daylon was promoted to EMS Captain with a hand in establishing this new rank for the department.
Promoted to Assistant Fire Chief of EMS in September 2025, Chief Woolbright brings a wealth of frontline experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to the community he will always call home. He is responsible for managing EMS operations for the fire department, enhancing patient care through operational leadership.
Off duty, he’s a devoted husband and proud father, who finds joy in motocross, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
