In May 2025, Chief Kenny Holding was promoted to the rank of Deputy Fire Chief of Suppression. In this role, Chief Holding ensures the effective deployment of personnel, apparatus, and operational readiness. Chief Holding plays a vital role in enhancing both efficiency and safety on the fireground and enforcing operational policies that align with industry standards, including those set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
With more than 20 years of distinguished service, Chief Holding has advanced through the ranks—serving as Firefighter, Paramedic, Engineer, Captain, and Battalion Chief. A committed lifelong learner and public servant, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University.
Chief Holding brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and operational expertise to his new role, continuing to uphold the highest standards of service and leadership in fire suppression.
