Assistant Fire Chief Scott Carnahan

Scott Carnahan_MODAssistant Fire Chief Scott Carnahan began his career in the State of Washington in 1990 as a firefighter with the City of Sumner and transferred to the Port of Seattle Fire Department, which services Seattle/Tacoma International Airport, in 1998. During this time, he held the rank of firefighter, captain, battalion chief and assistant chief of operations for the organization. Chief Carnahan joined the Clark County Fire Department on June 1, 2019 to assume the role of assistant chief overseeing the Aviation Division within the fire department. Together with the Department of Aviation he provides emergency response and assistance to the five airports that make up the Clark County Aviation system. As a new resident of Nevada, he is adjusting to the “dry heat’ and enjoys spending time with his dog Libby and has recently become a grandfather to his granddaughter Josie.
