Dep. Chief Steven De Pue

Steven De Pue began his career at the Clark County Fire Department in August 2005. He has held the position of assistant chief, firefighter, paramedic, preceptor and now deputy fire chief of Special Events. He was appointed to the new role on Feb. 2, 2024 after serving as assistant chief over EMS services for two years. Throughout his career he has taken an active role in fire suppression training, served as a cadre member for the Fire Training Academy, and held seats on many fire-related committees and working groups. Steve’s career in EMS began in California when he graduated from Mt. San Antonio’s Paramedic Academy in 2003 as a paramedic. Since joining the Clark County Fire Department, he has actively engaged in precepting many new hire paramedics, served on the EMS committee and is now looking forward to serving CCFD to support the EMS Division in training, education and day-to-day operations in a busy 911 system.

Steve brings a passion to the role of assistant fire chief by assisting in the planning of special events, and creating logistical pre-plans and operations for large scale events in the Las Vegas Valley including, the Electric Daisy Carnival and annual New Year’s Eve celebrations. Steve and his wife, Nicole, an accomplished registered nurse, are proud parents of their two dogs, Filson, a Viszla, and Cali and a Doberman.
