Fire Prevention

The Fire Prevention division is responsible for conducting field inspections for new construction and fire protection systems as well as minor plan checks for tenant improvements, additions, and other building modifications as required by the International Fire Code, the Nevada Revised Statutes and the Clark County Code. Personnel conduct inspections to ensure the fire and life safety requirements of the project are in accordance with these codes and local Fire Prevention Standards. Types of construction inspections conducted by Fire Prevention include but are not limited to:

  • Water Softener Installations.
  • Residential Plumbing Re-Pipe
  • Gas Line Extensions for Residential BBQs and Fire Pits
  • A/C (Mechanical) Change Outs
  • Electrical Service Change and Re-tag to re-establish power
  • Gas Tests and Tags for existing gas meters
  • Residential Pools and Spas
  • Detached Storage Sheds (Not To Exceed 600 Square Feet)
  • Signs
  • Residential Roof Inspections
  • Residential Block Wall/Fence
  • Cell Site/Antenna
