- Community service hours are available for youth ages 17 and under.
- Monday - Friday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Other hours available when school is out.
- Approval for community service at the Walnut Recreation Center must be obtained through staff prior to the start of hours.
- All paperwork must be presented at the initial meeting and a parent or guardian, must be present.
- The center accepts youth with court ordered, non-violent offenses. Youth with more than 40 hours court ordered, violent or weapon Offenses will be sent to work with the Department’s Gang Intervention program (GIT).
- Youth assignments will include, but not limited to, general custodial duties, program monitoring assignments, assistance with center activities and special events, etc.
- Youth must come prepared and committed to work.
- Youth should dress appropriately with closed toe shoes and clothing that covers all undergarments.
- Youth will be expected to follow all Clark County Policies. Those found in violation of Clark County Policies will be sent home, and may not be allowed to continue in the program.
