Kiddy Rodman
1925 - 2014
Kitty Rodman, widely known as the "First Lady of Construction," contributed to the construction industry in Las Vegas for five decades. She moved to Las Vegas in 1952 with her husband, who was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. Rodman joined Sierra Construction Corporation, where she became a partner. Sierra Construction managed numerous major projects throughout the county, including developments at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the Nevada Test Site, Nellis Air Force Base, and several hotel-casinos. At the time of her death, she made a major contribution to UNLV's College of Education to support students in the field of special education.
