Rosemary A. Vassiliadis
1957 -
In 2013, Rosmary Vassiliadis became the Clark County Director of Aviation and the first woman to hold the position. As Director, Vassiliadis is responsible for overseeing operations at Harry Reid International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world. She also manages four other airports in the county.
Vassiliadis serves on the Nevada Homeland Security Commission, having been appointed by three different governors. In 2022, Vassiliadis received an appointment to the Federal Reserve of San Francisco’s Los Angeles Branch Board of Directors, which contributes to the development of national monetary and credit policies.
Prior to her current role, Vassiliadis served as the budget officer for the City of Las Vegas and later as the Clark County Director of Finance, where she managed a 2.2 billion operating budget. She also served as the Deputy Director of Aviation.
