Discover the enduring influence of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority-sponsored cotillions at “Pink Legacy and Pearls: A Fireside Conversation.” This special event recognizes the sorority’s pivotal role in shaping African American cotillion traditions and features an engaging discussion with Dr. Nikita K. Harris, a renowned cotillion historian and curator of the “African American Cotillions: History, Culture & Traditions” exhibit. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view select items from the exhibit, offering a glimpse into the elegance, sisterhood, and cultural legacy celebrated through these iconic events.
