Solo Series
The SOLO SERIES Juried Exhibition open call provides four local, emerging, and under-recognized artists who currently live, formerly lived, and/or have a connection to the Historic Westside community in Las Vegas. Each of the four selected artists has the opportunity to present an exhibition at the Pearson Gallery for at least 7 weeks between September 2022 to May 2023. In addition, each artist is required to teach a workshop in relation to their exhibit. Each artist was selected by a blind jury, which consists of members who also have a connection to the Historic Westside community.

Dione Boles usually works with pencil and pastels, but her interest in painting started 7 years ago. Her inspiration came from other local artists in Las Vegas. Before having her son, she drew family and friends. Later, her son came up across her old portfolio and encouraged her to draw again. Boles went back to college and graduated with an associate of arts degree in 2012 from College of Southern Nevada.
