This year the middle school students from K.O. Knudson Academy of the Arts will be showcasing their artwork for the exhibit “Who We Are” at our annual Children’s Festival Art Show at the Winchester Dondero Cultural Center, 3130 McLeod Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89121.
The Reception will be held on April 20th from 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M.
The exhibit will be open to the public from March 27th- May 1st.
K.O. Knudson is the longest operating arts magnet middle school in Las Vegas. The unique student population from all over town creates a school environment like no other. This art show is an opportunity for the students to share “Who We Are” to the residents of Clark County. Often schools, cities, and places can be an abstract "thing" that people do not relate to with empathy. This art show strives to show everyone their humanity and personality.
The academy takes great pride in the development of young artist’s unique point-of-view, opportunities to showcase work on campus, in the community and engage in local and national contests. K.O. is the only three-year art program in the CCSD middle schools. Their program offers special portfolio development towards Las Vegas Academy magnet high school auditions.
