Philip Denker’s earlier investigations into design, form, and function focused on the creation of stylized representations of organic structures through patterns and configurations. In his Winchester Gallery exhibit, he responds more directly to the sensory stimuli of Las Vegas. His ambitious, yet playful relief sculptures are as much about computer crashes and implosions as they are about over-stimulated synapsis and kaleidescoping casino carpets.
