Ink Well Poetry : April 2026
Inkwell Poetry is excited to announce our April mentor Monarch the Poet and his workshop “Alliteration, Assonance, and Consonance in Poetry.”
In the literary arts, diction and rhyme are two vital tools in our poetic toolbox that we use to evoke emotions, images, and meaning. How can literary devices like alliteration, assonance, and consonance enhance our craft? Join Monarch the Poet for a workshop exploring the use of these techniques in his own poetry and a chance to apply these techniques to your own work.
Monarch will lead participants through a guided workshop complete with prompts, feedback, and rhymes. All ages/skill levels are welcome for what we are sure will be a fun and rewarding opportunity to learn from the best and enhance your own craft!
The presentation will be followed by a one-hour Q&A segment where attendees can ask Monarch questions about the topics covered as well as receive feedback on their own writing throughout the workshop. Announcements of Clark County current and future opportunities, events, and services will close out the workshop. Attendees will receive a copy of the announcements through email. This workshop will be recorded.
