This 16-foot-tall steel sculpture was created by the artist team of Dayo Adelaja, Sylvester Collier, Denise Duarte, Adolfo Gonzalez, and Vicki Richardson. The iridescent images on the sculpture tend to appear and disappear. The sculpture was created to accompany the Dr. William U. Pearson Community Center and was dedicated July 17, 2009.
The artists were inspired by a quote from George Washington Carver, inscribed on the base of the sculpture: "How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these."
”Reach” is located in front of Pearson Center at at 1625 West Carey in North Las Vegas.
