The 6’x27’ mural is Matt Murphy’s vision of the cultural activities always happening at the Winchester-Dondero Cultural center.
The mural encompasses several walls of an accessibility ramp, taking the visitor on a journey that culminates in an image of music, dance, theatre, and a child’s joy of playing in the park.
The artist created the concept for the mural by engaging the Winchester community through workshops and interviews with some of Winchester’s most prominent and active community members.
Within Valley of Harmony, Matt passionately demonstrates his dedication to crafting an inclusive and captivating experience for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Rooted in nature's inspiration, the mural ascends the ramp, transforming into an immersive journey. Through this mural, viewers are invited to discover inspiration and embark on a journey of exploration within the diverse tapestry of their surroundings.
