Clark County Parks and Recreation and the
Clark County Public Art Office present ZAP! 11

Kicking off the return of the ZAP! Program, ZAP! 11 consists of six brand new ZAP! artists who were chosen to paint the 24 utility boxes surrounding the Robert E. “Bob” Price Park. These local artists were chosen for their unique styles, thoughtful designs, and connection to the community surrounding the park. Each artist created designs specifically for ZAP! 11 and the park’s neighborhood.

In January of 2022, the community met selected artists: Bertha Gutierrez, Ellie Rush, Cerissa Lopez, Cody Wombold, Jessie Gutzmer, and Xena Keo to learn more about their proposed works and provided feedback for the artists to consider their final designs.

Painting of ZAP! 11 began late February 2022 and was completed by the end of March 2022. A dedication is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2022 at noon. This event will coincide with the Robert E. “Bob” Price Recreation Center’s Easter event. For more information about the Easter event, please visit: https://www.clarkcountynv.gov/government/departments/parks___recreation/facilities/bobprice.php

Along with the painting of the utility boxes around Robert E. “Bob” Price Park, Clark County has also hired an artist to paint poems on the ground in the Pickleball Court. Clark County’s 2019-2021 Poet Laureate, Heather Lang-Cassera, curated a collaborative poem with guests of the Cora Coleman Senior Center. Through this community project, Lang-Cassera was invited to write a poem honoring the Sunrise neighborhood and its newly renovated park. Both poems have been permanently painted by Oz Villate from Studio 818.
