This call is for the SOLO SERIES Juried Exhibition

The SOLO SERIES Juried Exhibition open call provides four local, emerging, and under-recognized artists who currently live, formerly lived, and/or have a connection to the Historic Westside community in Las Vegas. Each of the four selected artists will have the opportunity to present an exhibition at the Pearson Gallery for at least 7 weeks between September 2022 to May 2023. In addition, each artist is required to teach a workshop in relation to their exhibit.

Each artist will be selected by a blind jury, which consists of members who also have a connection to the Historic Westside community.

How to Enter: Email the PDF application and a separate PDF containing images of at least 8-10 different works to be exhibited with their titles, year, medium, dimensions, and any additional descriptions to Subject Line: SOLO SERIES

Applications must be filled out completely and all materials (such as files) must be sent as attachments in a single email. Incomplete forms and embedded images will be disqualified.

3rd Artist:
    • EXHIBIT DATES: January 27, 2023 – March 16, 2023
      • DROP OFF: January 26, 2023
      • PICK UP: March 17, 2023
4th Artist
    • EXHIBIT DATES: April 7, 2023 – May 25, 2023
      • DROP OFF: April 6, 2023
      • PICK UP: May 26, 2023

What you need to know:

  • The artist agrees to leave their work up through the end of the exhibit date. No artist can remove their artwork without consent of the Clark County Public Art;
  • Artist MUST install their own work
  • Open to any artist 18 and older;
  • No entry fee;
  • Must be original artwork (no prints);
  • Up to 8-10 pieces of art can be submitted. If submitting a sculpture send images of multiple views; and
  • Please note that Clark County does not secure insurance on exhibited artwork. Artist will exhibit at their own risk. We encourage you to purchase your own insurance during the exhibit to recover any loss from broken or stolen artwork.

If selected, the artist will be required to create and teach one workshop within their exhibition dates.

A payment of $300 will be processed after the artist have completed their exhibition and have picked up their work.


  • Artwork that contains offensive language, overtly political, religious and/or sexual content or imagery, including nudity, shall not be considered;
  • Artist must install their own work.
  • Grid art walls will be provided for 2D work.
  • All 2D flat work (on paper or similar) must be framed with a hanging point on the back. Canvas and larger 2D work must have D-rings, a wire, or existing hanging point secured to the back.
  • 2D work may not exceed 48” wide or 48” high, and cannot exceed 40lbs;
  • No perishable sculptures will be considered;
  • All parts of the artwork must be secured to adjacent parts. For example, sculptures must be securely glued or welded together;
  • Three-dimensional work may not exceed 28” L x 22” W x 28” H and cannot exceed 80lbs;
  • A pedestal and vitrine will be provided for three-dimensional work selected for the exhibition;
  • Clark County Public Art reserves the right to disqualify and remove any artwork that poses a threat to fall, break, or cause harm to the public, the facility, or the artwork itself.
