Full Scope June invited Building 180’s Senior Producer, Catherine Roscart to speak to our community about experience as a public art producer. Catherine shared her current project, the Big Art Loop initiative that will bring up to 100 temporary large-scale sculptures to San Francisco over the next three years.

Meet our Full Scope speaker, Catherine Roscart of Building 180!

Catherine Roscart is an experienced producer in the public art field and currently serves as Senior producer at Building 180. Bringing over 15 years of production experience, she has overseen large-scale sculpture installations, citywide art initiatives, and public art projects for innovative brands and municipalities. Her early work in TV development at Netflix and Bento Box Entertainment informs hercreative approach, and she is known for blending vision, collaboration, and precise execution to elevate artists and transform public spaces.

Building 180 is a women-led, full-service global art production and curation agency. Specializing in complex, large-scale installations from concept to completion. With a team of expert curators, producers, and artists, the agency excels in rapid, innovative executions. Big Art Loop is a citywide initiative that will bring up to 100 temporary large-scale sculptures to San Francisco over the next three years. Founded and funded by the Sijbrandij Foundation and produced by Building 180, the project transforms public spaces into a 34-mile walkable and bikeable art trail—turning the city into an open-air gallery. With 20 installations already complete and many more in progress, Big Art Loop works with city and community partners to bring existing artworks—often previously in storage—back into public view. Each sculpture stands at least 10 feet tall, creating an accessible, inspiring path of public art woven throughout San Francisco.

As part of the Building 180 production team for Big Art Loop, Catherine supported a wide range of responsibilities, including permitting, stamped engineering documentation, site visits, coordination with the SF Arts Commission, and pre-production logistics. She also contributed to on-site production, heavy equipment coordination, and safety oversight. Catherine helped produce the Portside public unveiling event, which welcomed more than 1,000 attendees and culminated in a community walking parade along the Embarcadero to experience four of the ten featured sculptures.
