On Tuesday, October 5, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm PDT, followed by an hour-long question and answer period, guest speaker Vinnie Bagwell. Her presentation will focus on public art as reparations.

“Making History: Public Art as Reparations” is a presentation of Vinnie Bagwell’s approach to creative place-making and art in public places.

This event will take place online through Cisco WebEx Meeting.

Vinnie Bagwell (b. December 7, 1957) is an American sculptor. A representational-figurative artist who casts in bronze and bronze resin, Vinnie uses traditional bas-relief techniques as visual narratives to expand her storytelling. She has won numerous public-art commissions and awards around the United States.

Vinnie Bagwell was born in Yonkers, New York. She grew up in the Town of Greenburgh and attended Greenburgh Central-Seven School System in Westchester County. A Morgan State University alumna, Vinnie is an untutored artist and began sculpting in 1993.
