Workshop with Artist Jamie Zepeda
Dream Circles & Alebrijes
October 16, 4:30-6:30pm
Cambridge Recreation Center

Youth ages 6-17 will sketch and design their own alebrije, then create their own design out of clay! They will be able to keep one vessel and make another that will become part of a traveling art installation. Youth will then co-collaborate on a premade alebrije using dots/circles that will also become part of the installation. This workshop blends storytelling, cultural tradition, geometry, and sculpture into a collaborative community art experience.

Register your child at the center for Open Rec in order to attend. See the information under “Open Rec” here: https://www.clarkcountynv.gov/adobe/assets/urn:aaid:aem:163f1388-1e0a-45c9-bc2d-a7880d5ea7e4/original/as/brochure-cambridge.pdf
