Call for Artists: Plein Air Painting!
Paint en plein air on March 21. Artists who sign in between 9 am and 2 pm will have the opportunity to submit pieces for consideration in the 4th Annual Plein Air Invitational Exhibit, on view in the Spotlight on Nature Gallery from May 2 to July 25, 2026. Art supplies are not provided.

Watercolor Workshops
Free outdoor 40-minute workshops starting at 10:30 am, 11:45 am, and 1:00 pm.
Ages 12+. Space is limited, register at event entrance.
All supplies provided. Instructor: Lindsey Quick
About the artist: Lindsey Quick holds two Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Nevada Teaching License with an endorsement in Art Education (K–12). She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Education online through the University of Florida. Lindsey has taught art professionally to students from kindergarten through high school and currently teaches at Coral Academy of Science.

About the Poet
Ms. AyeVee is an award-winning Afro-Latina Literary Artist from Las Vegas, NV. She is a woman of many hats with a passion for Poetry. Her work has been featured by the legendary All Def Poetry, Write About Now & Button Poetry. Ms. AyeVee has also been recognized by Las Vegas Book Festival, NPR & The US Congress for advancing the cause of literacy & extraordinary literary achievement. In 2022 Ms. AyeVee was selected as an official TEDx speaker for Las Vegas. She also runs a Las Vegas based poetry organization called, Beyond the Neon (@btnpoetry) that focuses on poetry exclusive events and community outreach. Ms. AyeVee is the 2024-2026 Clark County Poet Laureate & promoting her new poetry collection, Broken Silence.

About the Artist
Meghan Dragon is an artist born and raised in Las Vegas.
Her paintings, drawings and murals explore connections within the natural world, drawing primary inspiration from the flora and fauna of the Mojave Desert. With nine years of experience teaching elementary and middle school art, Meghan combines her background as an educator with a dedicated studio practice to create work that inspires curiosity and encourages appreciation for fragile habitats.

Drop by and join Nevada Humanities and create your own handmade postcard. Artist Bobbie Ann Howell will be on hand throughout the day helping you create a little art and write a message about what you love about Nevada. Nevada, P.S. I Love You Postcard Project is part of an ongoing project to connect Nevadans across the state by sharing the things we all love about Nevada. Free while supplies last. Live Music with Ocotillo Wind Quintet

Ocotillo Wind Quintet was formed in 2023 and is comprised of graduate students from UNLV and established professionals/educators from the Las Vegas valley. They are excited to share their passion for music and education across Clark County by performing at unique venues. Ocotillo is committed to celebrating the diversity of Las Vegas through thoughtful programming and hopes to reach a wide audience through these innovative and collaborative performances. Members of Ocotillo include Resilda Lala on flute, Taylor Crawford on oboe, Jonathan Cannon on clarinet, Liz Valvano on bassoon, and Matthew Keenan on horn.

Live Music with Ukelele Hero

Deaf since the age of 3, Timothy was a professional singer, bandleader, and music producer in New York City for 25 years before moving to Las Vegas in 2018 for new adventures in the great American west. While singing remains a talent of his, it is the strumming of ukuleles which has become his greener pastures. Using his Fender gear, he strums a thousand songs.
