Haunt the Wetlands

Brave the Haunted Maze, walk among the Creatures of the Night, encounter live Creepy Crawly Critters, and explore a Mad Scientist's Lair.

The Nature Center will be open for visitors to explore the Exhibit Gallery and shop the Nature Store.

Event Activities

Check in at the Wetlands Park Nature Center, then visit all the event has to offer!

Outdoor Activities:

Brave the Haunted Maze, a winding trail trail the tall reeds just east of the Nature Center, decorated for the Halloween season.

Learn about real Creatures of the Night on your return walk, featuring real taxidermy nocturnal creatures at education stations.

In the Nature Center:

Encounter live Creepy Crawly Critters, featuring ambassador snakes, lizards, and more.

Explore the Mad Scientist’s Lair, a space where everything glows in the dark! Walk through a glowing spider maze, color with glow in the dark markers, guess what’s in the Mystery Cauldrons, and gaze upon the Cabinet of Curiosities.

Take a free Green Screen photo with your family.

Free face painting for kids.

The Nature Store and Exhibit Gallery will be open.

Tasty tacos will be offered for purchase by Abuela’s Tacos.
Do I have to print my tickets?
You can bring a printout of your tickets OR show them on your phone at check-in.
What’s the latest I can arrive?
Haunt the Wetlands ends at 8:00 pm. We recommend arriving by 7:30 pm to experience as much of the event as possible. Entry to the Haunted Maze will end at 7:40 pm.
Once I buy tickets for a specific entry time, what if I arrive early or late?
We sell tickets to this event by entry time to prevent overcrowding, to help ensure everyone has a great time. If you arrive early or late to your selected entry time, you will be admitted.
Once I choose an entry time, do I have to leave at a specific time?
All participants are welcome to stay as long as they wish. The events ends at 8:00 pm.
If I cannot attend, are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable.
Can I bring my dog or other pet?
This is not a pet-friendly event. Service dogs “trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability” are welcome.
Is there a charge for parking?
There is no charge for parking. Guests will park in an overflow lot, which is unpaved. The parking area is a walk from the event. Limited ADA spaces are available in the main parking lot. If needed, drivers may drop off guests at the shade structure leading to the Nature Center, then return to overflow parking.
Is the Haunted Maze too scary for young children?
We recommend families with very young children visit the Haunted Maze during daylight hours. It gets a little creepier after dark!
Do I need tickets for myself as well as my children?
A ticket is required for everyone age 4 and up, including grown-ups.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
While tickets last, they will be available at event check-in. Ticket prices are $6 through October 23, and $10 the day of the event.
