New Year's Eve

The countdown is on for America’s Party 2024! A record-number of revelers are expected to ring in the New Year in Clark County. For those planning to ring in the New Year on the Las Vegas Strip, here is some helpful information at-a-glance:

Prohibited Items

From 6 p.m. Dec. 31 through 6 a.m. Jan. 1, the following items are not allowed on the Las Vegas Strip:

Safety

Safety is the top priority for the New Year's Eve celebration and all events in Clark County. America's Party 2024 is a collaborative event with extensive coordination between various Clark County agencies, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and a verity of local partners, along with numerous local, state and federal agencies. Report suspicious activity to law enforcement. If you see something, say something!

New Year's Eve falls during the coldest part of the year in Clark County. Stay warm, stay hydrated, and wear comfortable shoes. Additionally, wherever you are celebrating, it is a good idea to make a plan. To download the Southern Nevada Community Preparedness App, click here.

Road Closures

The Flamingo off-ramps from Interstate 15 will be closed around 5:30 p.m. Road closures on Las Vegas Boulevard from Spring Mountain Road to Tropicana Avenue will start at 6:30 p.m. The Strip will be completely shut down to all vehicle traffic by 8 p.m.

Transportation

RTC Bus Service

The RTC is offering free rides on all transit routes from 6 p.m. Dec. 31 until 9 a.m. Jan. 1. This includes the Deuce on the Strip and routes on other major streets with direct access to and from the Strip. Click here for full details.

Monorail

The Las Vegas Monorail will operate continuously from 7 am Sunday, December 31 until 2 a.m. Tuesday Jan 2. 2024, for a total of 43 straight hours.

Locals can purchase $1 single-ride tickets at customer service booths located at every station (except the Las Vegas Convention Center) from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31 with proof of Nevada I.D. For out-of-town guests, one-ride tickets are $6.

The Monorail also offers an eTicket discount on unlimited-ride passes starting at $13.45 for a 24-hour pass, which can be purchased online.
