Real Property Management is an internal service department ensuring that County departments have the necessary tools to provide services to the community.
Design & ConstructionPlanning, designing, and constructing buildings, structures, and parks owned or leased by the County. Our staff of construction professionals provides these services:
- Feasibility and cost studies for construction projects
 - Project management and oversight
 - Construction contract administration
 - Space planning
 
Our mission is to deliver attractive and functional public facilities like these:
- Fire Stations
 - Metropolitan Police Department substations

Energy ManagementPutting energy conservation plans into action for County facilities comprising more than 3 million square feet. These facilities include:
- The Regional Justice Center
 - The Clark County Government Center
 - Recreation and Community Centers
 - Fire Stations
 - County offices
 
The County’s Sustainability Resolution set the goal of a 20-percent reduction in energy use by 2020 using 2009 as a baseline. This will be accomplished by identifying Energy Conservation Measures that include:
• Commissioning New Buildings and Retro-Commissioning Facilities
• Installation of energy-efficient lighting technology
• Utilizing lighting controls
• Upgrading heating and cooling systems

Property Management and AcquisitionAcquiring and selling property and negotiating leases to house County personnel. Our services include:
- Negotiating property purchases and sales
 - Auctioning and disposing of County-owned surplus real property
 - Negotiating property leases for County departments
 - Negotiating and administering leases and licenses in County facilities
 - Negotiating and administering rights-of-way and easements
