If you receive a call stating that you have a warrant, missed jury duty, registration (professional or vehicle) is suspended, did not respond to a subpoena – or any reasons similar to these – be advised this is a scam!  The Sheriff’s Civil Section will not call you to demand payment for these matters. Do not provide any personal or financial information.

The Civil Section provides services in accordance with Nevada Revised Statues (NRS). Documents for service must be submitted with the appropriate instructions for service, filed stamps, seals and applicable fees. For questions regarding fees, instructions for service, delivery of documents or services provided, please call (702) 455-5400.

We do not validate or authenticate any documents.  We do not provide service outside of Clark County. Improperly prepared paperwork is not our responsibility. Service requests without proper paperwork, instructions or payment will be returned.  We do not accept cash payments, credit cards or personal checks.  Fee waivers issued outside of Nevada are not accepted.  

The Civil Section does not have access to court documents. This office does not store or retain any documents for safekeeping.  Please contact the court of jurisdiction to obtain any court documents or proofs of service.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our current process service time is 6-8 weeks.  Should you require faster service, you may reach out to the appropriate Constable/Private Process Server for assistance.
