The Clark County Clerk’s Office issues marriage licenses, proof of marriage and officiant certifications. We are recognized as the Wedding Capital of the World.
Marriage License Application
To get married in Clark County (including Las Vegas), you must first apply for and receive a marriage license. There is no waiting period and the license is good for a year from the date of issue.
Proof of Marriage
After a marriage ceremony is performed in Clark County, the marriage officiant will complete the certificate and submit it to the Clerk’s Office.
Become an officiant. Applicants do not need to be ordained, have an affiliation with a church or religious organization to obtain permission to perform marriages in Clark County.
As the Commissioner of Civil Marriages, the County Clerk is responsible for performing civil marriage ceremonies that are held in The Office of Civil Marriages.
