The County Treasurer’s Office bills and collects all real property taxes within Clark County and distributing those funds to the appropriate taxing entities, including the State of Nevada, Clark County, the Clark County School District, incorporated cities, libraries, and various special districts.
It also administers special assessments for properties located within County‑established special improvement districts. These districts support a range of public infrastructure enhancements such as streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, street lighting, sewer systems, water lines, and landscaping.
Beyond its real-property tax billing and collection responsibilities, the Treasurer’s Office oversees the receipt and disbursement of County funds, manages all banking services, and oversees the County’s investment portfolio. Investment activities are conducted in a manner that ensures adequate liquidity to meet daily cash‑flow requirements while safeguarding public resources.
In addition, the office also conducts public auctions for tax‑delinquent real property and manages the sale of certificates associated with delinquent special assessment accounts.
