Exhibit Celebrates Women Who Shaped Southern Nevada

The Clark County Museum is proud to announce the opening of its new temporary exhibit, “Empowered: Women of Clark County,” on Friday, March 6, which will be on display until May 25, 2026. Presented in celebration of Women’s History Month this year, the community is invited to attend a special opening reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 6 at the Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway in Henderson, to celebrate the women whose vision and determination have helped shape Southern Nevada.

“Empowered: Women of Clark County” highlights the stories of trailblazers in aviation, education, business, and politics. The exhibit honors women who have built communities, led strikes for better wages, organized demonstrations, secured environmental protections, and dismantled racial barriers. Their lasting legacies touch every aspect of life in Clark County. In collaboration with the Clark County Public Arts Office, a new website featuring profiles of the 50 highlighted Empowered women is now available for public exploration at https://tinyurl.com/EmpoweredWomenofCC.

“This exhibit is a tribute to the women who have made Clark County what it is today,” said Amber Colbert, Clark County Museum Administrator. “Their courage and leadership continue to inspire our community.”

Admission is free, making it easy for everyone to experience the powerful stories and contributions of these remarkable women.
