Clark County and other government agencies in the region are participating in online government surplus auctions hosted by JJ Kane Auctions on Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18.

The auctions feature vehicles, equipment, and miscellaneous items being sold by Clark County and other government agencies in Las Vegas and several Western states. Lists of items being sold are on JJ Kane’s website, JJKane.com, under the listing for Western Regional Government Surplus Timed Auction for March 17 and March 18. Online bidding is now open, with the sale of items beginning to close at 9 a.m. on both auction days unless additional bidding is occurring. The March 17 auction includes light-duty vehicles, boats, motorcycles, and miscellaneous items. The March 18 auction includes heavy-duty equipment such as cranes, tractors and large trucks and trailers. The website has information about registering as a bidder and the terms for participation.

Public Preview: Friday, March 13, and Monday, March 16

Many items being sold by Clark County and other agencies in the region can be seen in-person at JJ Kane Auction’s Southern Nevada location during on-site preview days scheduled for Friday, March 13, and Monday, March 16. The lot is located at 14655 Grand Valley Parkway, 89165, in North Las Vegas southwest of I-15 and Exit 58. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on preview days. Participating agencies include the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the State of Nevada, the Las Vegas Water District, and the cities of North Las Vegas, Henderson, and St. George, Utah.

“The preview gives interested bidders a chance to check out many items in person before placing their bids online," said Jeff Benites, manager of Clark County’s Automotive Services Division, which works with JJ Kane to host the auction. Clark County typically participates in three government surplus auctions a year to sell vehicles and equipment used or acquired by government agencies.
