The Clark County Public Art Office is pleased to announce a new exhibition, “With the Land,” on display at the Clark County Government Center Rotunda Gallery, 500 South Grand Central Pkwy, now through July 10. This exhibit explores the environment and the land on which we live. The artists in this exhibit share their perspectives on topics ranging from climate change to wildfires, as well as an overall admiration for the land. The juror for this exhibition is Kim Garrison Means, a visual artist and director of the Mystery Ranch Arts and Ecology Research Station. She has represented her community of Searchlight in the successful Avi Kwa Ame National Monument campaign and helped co-curate an exhibition related to it. Kim also works as a college art instructor and an arts and communications consultant for local and national conservation organizations and is co-editor of the local ecology, culture, and history journal, the Searchlight Gold Beam. An artist's reception will take place on July 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will feature live poetry readings by Clark County Poet Laureate Ms. AyeVee, guest poets, and a musical performance by Flavio Flutes.

The Rotunda Gallery at the Clark County Government Center is available to the public Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and closed Friday through Sunday. Clark County Public Art Galleries strives to present fine art exhibits that educate and enlighten residents and visitors of Clark County, Nevada. The Office of Public Art currently operates four galleries: the Rotunda Gallery at the Clark County Government Center, the Winchester Gallery at Winchester-Dondero Cultural Center, the Pearson Gallery at Pearson Community Center, and the galleries at Wetlands County Park.
