Clark County Public Arts, in partnership with Clark County Commissioners Tick Segerblom and William McCurdy II, is officially seeking artist submissions for Caminando por las Américas (Walking Through the Americas). This upcoming exhibition celebrates the rich, diverse cultural tapestry of Latin America and will open to the community on Thursday, September 24, at the Clark County Government Center Rotunda Gallery, 500 South Grand Central Parkway. Artists interested in participating must submit their work online before the deadline on Wednesday, August 5. Submissions can be made directly through the official portal at https://clarkcountynvpublicarts.submittable.com/submit.

The exhibition features guest juror and curator Olmeca, a distinguished UNLV professor, Latino scholar, activist, and artist. Under his leadership, Caminando por las Américas will bring together local and international artistic expressions, bridge communities and honor the diverse heritage of the Americas. The event will also feature active participation from the Consulates of Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador in Las Vegas, with each consulate contributing unique artwork directly to the exhibition.

"By highlighting the shared stories and diverse histories of the Americas, this exhibition gives local creators a powerful platform to speak across borders," said Commissioner Tick Segerblom. "We are eager to see how our artistic community responds to Professor Olmeca's vision and collaborates with our international consulate partners to transform this space."
