Clark County Commission Chairman Michael Naft will host a special ceremony at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign on Wednesday, July 8 at 8 a.m. to kick off the NBA Summer League. The iconic landmark will be illuminated in red, white, and blue to celebrate its 22^nd year in Las Vegas.

“The NBA Summer League has proudly called Clark County home for more than two decades,” said Commissioner Naft. “This annual event has helped cement Las Vegas’ reputation as the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World, showcasing emerging talent and delivering meaningful economic benefits to our community. We’re honored to continue hosting this incredible event for years to come.”

“Las Vegas has been home to Summer League since 2004,” said NBA Summer League co-founder Albert Hall. “What started as six teams in a single gym has become a national showcase with every NBA team, every game, broadcast to the entire country. But more importantly, this premier event has created jobs, driven millions of dollars into this amazing community, and fueled a year-round commitment to giving back to Clark County.”

The NBA Summer League is an 11-day, 76-game showcase where all 30 NBA franchises evaluate talent, develop emerging players, and spotlight top rookies making the jump from college basketball to the professional league. The games generate significant media attention via national broadcasts and digital streaming. This year the NBA Summer League is projected to attract more than 76,000 out-of-town visitors, generating over 132,000 incremental room nights for the Las Vegas tourism market.
