Donations of school supplies and volunteers needed through July 25
Clark County Family Services is mobilizing the community to ensure children in foster care have the resources they need for academic success through a comprehensive Back-to-School supply drive running through July 25, 2025. The initiative, organized by various community groups, including non-profit partner Share in the Joy, seeks donations of essential school supplies to help these resilient young people begin the upcoming academic year prepared and confident.
Last year's initiative demonstrated the power of community partnership, with residents providing nearly 2,000 backpacks and approximately $200,000 in in-kind donations. These contributions – including backpacks, school supplies, haircut vouchers, and other essentials – directly benefited children in foster care throughout Clark County.
Needed Items:
- New backpacks (all sizes)
- New shoes (all sizes)
- New school supplies (notebooks, pencils, pens, folders, etc.)
- Monetary contributions
