Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community and earn some extra income? Consider becoming a school crossing guard. The Crossing Guard Company, a division of All City Management Services (ACMS), is hosting hiring events to recruit crossing guards for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Classes for Clark County School District students are scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 10.
“Crossing guards play a critical role in keeping students safe on their way to and from the classroom,” said Michael Naft, Chairman of the Clark County Commission. “They serve as the first line of defense for our most vulnerable road users; they not only protect our young students but also gives peace of mind to parents, teachers, and all community members who look to them to mitigate traffic tragedies.”
The County Commission approved the expansion of crossing guards to include middle schools in 2024. There are 25 middle schools and 101 elementary schools in unincorporated areas of Clark County, and there is an ongoing need for crossing guard services at the start of school and throughout the school year. The upcoming hiring events will be held as follows:
