“Wave” goodbye to summer and splash into one last pool party before school begins! Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick and North Las Vegas Mayor Pro Tem Scott Black are inviting the public to Ride the Wave Back to School on Saturday, August 1, from noon until 3 p.m. at the Silver Mesa Recreation Center.

The free, family-friendly event offers our local students and community members a fun way to cool off before heading back to the classroom. Attendees will enjoy live music, games, free snacks, raffles, and a whole afternoon of pool activities. There will also be a free backpack giveaway while supplies last.

“We love hosting this community event every year. It’s a great way to bring everyone together,” said Commissioner Kirkpatrick. “Ride the Wave Back to School gives families a safe, enjoyable way to celebrate the end of summer while helping our students start the school year strong.”

Admission is free and open to the public.
