The West Flamingo Senior Center is officially kicking off a new chapter! Commission Chairman Michael Naft and Clark County’s Department of Parks and Recreation invite the public to a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, August 11, at 8 a.m. to celebrate the start of construction on the center's highly anticipated expansion and renovation project.

The project will expand and modernize the facility to better serve the area's growing community of active older adults. Planned improvements include a 2,399-square-foot building addition, featuring 1,983 square feet of new multi-purpose programming space, along with a reconfiguration of the existing interior to improve accessibility, circulation, and overall functionality of the building.

“The West Flamingo Senior Center is an extraordinary place,” said Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft. “It provides seniors with a welcoming place to stay active, connected with one another, and engaged with their community. This much needed expansion will create even more opportunity for people to participate in meaningful programming and strengthen the sense of community and belonging that makes the Center so special.”
