Get ready to celebrate the most cherished members of our families! Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft and the West Flamingo Senior Center, located at 6255 W. Flamingo Rd., are excited to announce a special Grandparents Day Celebration on Saturday, September 6, from 10 a.m. to noon.

This free event is designed to bring families together for a day of fun, food, and festivities. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including boxed lunches provided by Togos Catering while supplies last, upbeat dancing, and even bounce houses for the little ones to burn off some energy. For a more creative and relaxing activity, there will also be a plant potting station where families can work together to create something beautiful to take home.

“I’m excited for our annual Grandparents Day Celebration — an event that brings generations together for a fun-filled day,” said Commissioner Michael Naft. “From complimentary food to dancing to crafts: This day is about celebrating the wisdom and joy grandparents bring to our families and community.”

The West Flamingo Senior Center serves active adults aged 50 and over. This facility is well-equipped with a variety of amenities to support a healthy and engaged lifestyle, including a dedicated exercise room, multi-purpose rooms for classes and events, a game room with billiards and cards, and a craft room. The center also features a dance room and a lending library. A wide array of programs is offered to cater to diverse interests, such as fitness classes like Tai Chi and low-impact aerobics, various dance classes, and hobby groups for arts, crafts, and computer skills.
