Interested in a career in public service? Clark County, in partnership with local cities and government agencies, will host a Public Service Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 10. The event will be held in the North Hall (Room N1) of the Las Vegas Convention Center at 3150 Paradise Road.

Attendees can meet face to face with recruiters from more than 40 local government entities to ask questions and learn about the application and hiring process for a wide range of public service careers, including information about public-sector benefits. Job seekers are encouraged to register in advance through the Public Service Career Fair website. Walk-ins are welcome on the day of the event. Parking and admission at the Convention Center are free.

“A career in public service offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community,” said Clark County Commission Chairman Michael Naft. “The Public Service Career Fair connects job seekers with Clark County departments and agencies while showcasing the many rewarding avenues for employees.”

Several Clark County departments will participate in the event. Additional government employers attending the career fair include the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas; the State of Nevada; the Southern Nevada Health District; and local police and fire agencies. The career fair will feature four short “Career Talks” sessions presented by participating local agencies from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. These sessions cover public service careers, job postings, resume essentials, and S.T.A.R. interview techniques. The full schedule is available on the event flyer.

Job seekers interested in working for Clark County can go to clarkcountynv.gov/careers. New positions are posted every Tuesday, and applicants can sign up for job interest cards to receive email alerts about categories they're interested in.
