Commissioner Justin Jones of District F and the Office of Public Art in Clark County are proud to announce the dedication and unveiling of "In Motion," a vibrant new mural by talented local artist Loisse Ledres. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Desert Breeze Community Center, located at 8275 Spring Mountain Rd.

The In Motion mural is an engaging public art piece designed to encourage a moment of pause and reflection on the importance of play and activity. The artwork captures the center's lively atmosphere and the diverse range of activities it offers. Created as part of Clark County's Public Art program, the mural contributes a dynamic and colorful addition to the community.

"In Motion transforms Desert Breeze into a canvas of our community's energy, a daily reminder that creativity and play are essential to our shared spirit,” said Commissioner Jones. “Loisse Ledres hasn't just given us a mural; she's added to the heartbeat and culture of our county parks. It is a vibrant invitation to pause, reflect, and find joy in our daily lives."

Artist Loisse Ledres will be present at the event to discuss her creative process and share insights into the inspiration behind In Motion, including the community engagement activities that informed many of the mural’s most meaningful elements. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the artist and explore how public art can enrich and humanize shared community spaces.
