Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom and the Department of Public Works on Thursday celebrated the start of construction on Sloan Lane Improvements from Vegas Valley Drive to Ruby Creek Drive. This $13.9 million Clark County project will extend Sloan Lane with a paved road and bridge going over the Las Vegas Wash to connect Ruby Creek Drive to Vegas Valley Drive.

“This bridge is more than infrastructure; it builds connection and access for our community,” said Commissioner Segerblom. “This bridge and road connection will significantly increase connectivity on the east side of the Valley, connecting residents to schools and business.”

The primary project location is on Sloan Lane from Vegas Valley Drive to Ruby Creek Drive, with additional work occurring at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Sloan Lane. The work will consist of improvements including asphalt pavement, median, sidewalk, curb and gutter, channel, storm drain, streetlights, traffic signal, utility adjustments, pavement markings, and signage.

Working hours to extend Sloan Lane will generally be Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Sloan Lane. The project is expected to be completed in Winter 2026.
