Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft invites residents to gather for the annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 3, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Laurelwood Park, located at 4300 Newcastle Rd.
Designed to bring the surrounding community together for a fun afternoon in this neighborhood park, Fall Festival will offer family-friendly activities, including seasonal pumpkin crafts, face painting, free mini doughnuts while supplies las, carnival games, live music, and food available for purchase. Adult attendees aged 21 and older can also enjoy a dedicated beer garden.
“Fall Fest is about Clark County residents enjoying what our community has to offer right in their own backyard,” said Commissioner Michael Naft. “Laurelwood Park is a wonderful amenity in District A, and I’m thrilled to once again welcome families and residents for an afternoon of games, crafts, and more as we usher in the fall season.”
In addition to the traditional festivities, Commissioner Naft is partnering with the Clark County Department of Environment & Sustainability (DES) to support the county's Community Canopy Project—an All-In Clark County initiative to expand the local urban tree canopy and mitigate the urban heat island effect.
Residents who previously reserved a free drought-tolerant tree through the DES program can conveniently pick up their trees at Laurelwood Park during the event. Additionally, 25 trees will be available to festival attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.
