Commissioner Justin Jones and Clark County Parks and Recreation invite the public to celebrate Cougar Creek Park's 5-Year Anniversary with a special community event on Friday, October 10, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 6701 West Wigwam Ave.
The event promises an evening of free family fun and entertainment, including a DJ, face painting, and balloon artists. Guests can also enjoy inflatables, food, and a variety of merchandise and craft vendors. To show appreciation for the community's support, the first 100 attendees will receive a free meal.
"Parks are the heart of a neighborhood, and for five years, Cougar Creek Park has been a place where families connect, children play, and memories are made,” said Commissioner Justin Jones. “This celebration is about more than a birthday; it's a testament to what we can build together. We're invested in the shared experiences that make our community a home."
Cougar Creek Park offers a wide range of recreational amenities with a unique, natural-themed design with numerous shaded picnic tables and open grassy areas, all supported by convenient on-site public restrooms. The park features multiple playgrounds, including a smaller one for toddlers and a larger "big kid" area with unique rock-play structures. The park also includes two lit pickleball courts, a splash pad, an outdoor workout station and a scenic path.
