Starting Monday, Nov. 3, motorists are advised that construction activity will begin on the Interstate 215 and Airport Connector Interchange Phase 3 project. This 2-year project will generally consist of widening roadway segments, lane realignment, pavement rehabilitation and striping, a bridge structure, retaining walls, ramp reconfiguration and new ramp construction, medians, sidewalks, signage, lighting, intelligent transportation system infrastructure, and landscaping.
The $49.5 million project includes:
- Widening the Sunset Road off-ramp from one lane to two lanes to provide additional capacity on the ramp for the traffic signal at the Sunset Road and Paradise Road intersection.
 - Widening the northbound Airport Connector from three to four lanes between the westbound I-215 on-ramp to the northbound Airport Connector and the Sunset Road exit.
 - Constructing a new ramp from eastbound I-215 that connects the northbound Airport Connector to a dedicated lane for the Sunset Road off-ramp. The new ramp includes a bridge over the on-ramp from westbound I-215 to the northbound Airport Connector.
 - Realigning the westbound I-215 on-ramp to the northbound Airport Connector under the new bridge for the eastbound I-215 ramp to the northbound Airport Connector. The new westbound on-ramp lane will join with the two lanes from the northbound Airport Connector and the dedicated lane for Sunset Road exit to form the four-lane northbound Airport Connector section.
 - Re-aligning George Crockett Road to the northbound Airport Connector on-ramp to increase the weave distance between the on-ramp and the new ramp from eastbound I-215.

For the duration of construction, lanes and ramps will be periodically restricted or closed. Project details and updates, including a schedule of upcoming lane restrictions, can be found on the Clark County Department of Public Works website for Projects in Construction. Additionally, message boards within the project corridor will advise motorists and residents of upcoming changes in traffic patterns. Work hours will generally be daily, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Night work may occur at times during the project.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones and take alternate routes when possible. Due to the fluid nature of roadwork, the public is reminded that construction schedules and travel impacts can change on short notice, and they are advised to check navigation apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps for real-time information.
